No. 075 Bike, Play, Fashion Friday

Long weekend. Time to play. I'm Loving these...

Also this... my new main man... a pretty deep blue Italian Bianchi Cortina that just made its way into my life (and my apartment. Ahem. I couldn't help it- I've been wanting a cool euro style towny for a while now... but this one had just enough designer flair without that 'I'm trying so hard to be vintage, I'm not... ' effect. No? Now to learn how to bike with slightly more skill... and get over my fear of moving vehicles. Share the road Los Angeles?

Can't wait to spend some time peddling around my beachy towns this weekend. Any exciting plans for you?

No. 073 Kyle Bunting Goes Mouth Watering

Kyle Bunting has my mouth watering today. These rooms are showcasing his designs perfectly... and are a much needed reprieve from my huge deadline for China project (a high end complex of mansions basically...Oi!)  that is approaching like a freight train. These spaces are so good I want to go and hide out in one. Count to ten. Have a glass of wine. Maybe do some Yoga. Return to the design boards. I especially love the one of featuring the mouth art piece. Ahh. I already feel better. Drink up if you need a calm down this Tuesday...

No. 072 Fashion Friday-Play With the Cool Kids

Well- can you play with the cool kids? These are a snipet of my latest 'saves'. Fashion makes me giddy- not because I want to be cool ( let's face it these looks are arguable) but because it is so much fun to express yourself with clothing. I love these looks because you can practically create them right out of your own closet--- if you get creative because, it appears, there is little to no thought or logic to some of these (which is very liberating, no?) and YET they look so cool. Pile it on. It's friday. Nobody's judging you.

No. 071 Oh You're a Visual Powerhouse

 Isn't that what we love about design??? The visual experience. Extravagance when words aren't enough. Everything we see and do, is such a powerhouse of expression. Lofty right? But true- It's your clothing, your home, your art, the images you save and blog about! The things you love- they all say something about where you are at that time. I found these browsing around my computer the other day. Some digital art I had created a few months back-- Can you tell what was on my mind?? Unpainted paintings actually. It still touched me...so I thought why not share it?? These I had created with layers upon layers of cut up images and shapes (some originals I posted below...)

No. 70 Weekend Wrap Up

Ahhh, Monday....Here I am coming off a full few days, the type that leaves you feeling like you need a weekend from your weekend. A couple glimpses of mine in Los Angeles...

Friday night we visited Los Angeles Farmers Market- A new one for me, it's kind of amazing! So many restaurants, fresh food, meeting new friends and hanging out with old ones.

My painting was the highlight of much weekend conversation...

Friday is busy, but such an exciting day! I love this day. Some amazing looks to pull off this weekend... fedora anyone??
Any special plans for the weekend? My Friday Feels like:

Morning. Run. Work. Breakfast. Design Firm Work. Eyes. Bloodwork.... again. Then.
PLAY! An evening at The Grove- Farmers Market. I've never been and I'm so looking forward to an evening with friends and new ones too...

No. 068 HOW TO: 30 Second Vacation!

OHHH My heaven. Thanks to GLOBALLY GORGEOUS  I just took a mini vacation. Here you can find inspiration for everything summer vacay. Place, food, perfect wardrobe... I know, it’s not the same, but we won’t all get to go on a tropical paradise vacation this year. But, we can all probably benefit from a mini fantasy break. Have you forgotten the art of day dreaming? Take a quick second to stop. Breathe. Give yourself a 30 second vacation. It’s Summer time. And the living’s easy. Why not!?
