Lavender Heat- Jessica Rae Sommer

Loving Lavender right now. I mean love. I'm pretty excited to have included some of this lovely in my latest painting! Lavender Heat. It's that sweet feel of spring you can smell in the air and feel in your bones. Peaceful. Having been busy on the design front working on some amazing commission pieces, this one was the first painting I've done for just myself in a bit, which is kind of a guilty pleasure.

I hope you like her! Love to hear your thoughts! Jessica Rae

The SHAPE of things, Art Fashion Inspiration from Trendland

How amaze are these Magdelena Frackowaik pieces? (Photographed by Josh Olins). I  love editorial fashion that tells a story, and you can't help but be caught up in these. Posted on Trendland by Ani Tzenkova, this girl has got some serious teeth when it comes to collecting inspiring and unseen art/fashion/etc etc etc. Thanks Ani! I love the soft colors of this shoot. I've been looking for the inspiration to finish up my latest painting, and I'm actually thinking these are it. This may sound strange, but I love the photography of these fashions as much as the fashion themselves. Clean, soft, elegant. Sometimes it takes me a while to figure out what is going on in the 'background' area of a painting... how to emphasize it... without crushing or taking away from the focal point. My latest Lady is coming along beautifully, but there is still a ways to go. Here is some glorious inspiration. Don't you love? I'll keep you posted!
