Modern Coastal Home Design

Latest design peak! This one is a kickoff presentation for for a modern home design completed at HBA. The home is a fabulous four level beauty and my design has taken inspiration from its coastal location- each level inspired by a different area of the ocean. The basement- Deep ocean waters- where shimmering hues and saturated tones are mixed with masculine lines to create the ultimate entertainment retreat. The entry level of the home is inspired by a coastal sunrise- cooling blue hues and rich golden accents create a luxurious space that brings elements of water and fire into the home. Level 2 is a guest suite level, were shallow, rippling tides, silver hues and saturated pops of gold envelope the suites. Level 3 is the master retreat. Filled with calming hues and rich natural materials- this ocean view suite is the ultimate of shoreline luxury, peace, and sanctuary.

I've been there basically 24/7 this week... so there hasn't been time for much else but I'm so excited about how the design turned out! Time to take a break and get some sleep. Much needed. Happy long weekend lovelies!! What to you think? I'd live there!

Art at Home ( INSTALL SHOTS)

One of my absolute favorite things about being an artist and designer is having the opportunity to see my art installed in the homes of my admirers. Can a girl get any luckier than to know that she brought a more beauty to someone else's life? Such a sense of joy and pride to see a little piece of me prettying up a room I've never been in. I love getting to know my clients, they become my friends, my inspiration, and people I love and admire- some without ever meeting them in person.

This week a got an email from wonderfully talented interior enthusiast and blogger Sarah, from Like-Honestly who has two of my prints in her home. First off- she starts by saying her home isn't done yet, and it is already so amazingly gorg I am waiting on pins and needles to see the final reveal. ( Those Milo B chairs? Love. ) So I'm taking a second to brag on her and show some of my beauties in action.
xoxo!

Design Your Own Business Cards DIY ( MOO )

Ooooo! I got my new biz cards in from from Moo and I have to say, they are great. I know allot of us in who work freelance gigs need cards that are professional, customizable, and super high quality. So when I was looking for some new cards to show off my work, I checked out MOO after my one of my best design friends Kelly Sutton gave me the heads up. Thanks Kelly, she was right. MOO lets you design your own cards if you are feeling savvy using a little upload tool. I designed my own in photoshop, and took advantage of the option to choose multiple back images so I could show of my artwork like a mini gallery- totally brilliant! But don't worry, if you aren't up to the time consuming challenge of designing your own cards, Moo has a bunch of easy ideas and tools for customizing your cards with millions (or something close!) of options to choose from. Anyhow, the cards turned out beautiful, fast, and not to mention- affordable! So I had to pass along the goodness. MOO loved my cards as well, and posted the design to their Tumblr! Thanks MOO!

If you guys have any questions, just ask! Here is a little glimpse of my cards below...

Totally gorgeous and inspiring. Today I can't stop looking at the goods from Designer Shao Yen. These stills and film are like if I could bring a painting to life. Exaggerated. Etherial. Empowering. Feminine. I want to go sketch for days and bring something beautiful to life. Had to share. xoxo

Shake the Dust- Friday Inspiration

Happy Friday lovelies. Here, the most wonderful reminder to shake the dust, and taking a little breather from all the design deadline madness. Stepping out of ourselves and tossing things up. Anis Mogjani says its best. Very worth a watch.

"Make sure that by the time fisherman returns you are gone.

Because just like the days, I burn both ends and every time I write, every time I open my eyes I am cutting out a part of myself to give to you.

So shake the dust and take me with you when you do for none of this has never been for me.

All that pushes and pulls, pushes and pulls for you.

So grab this world by its clothespins and shake it out again and again and jump on top and take it for a spin and when you hop off shake it again for this is yours."

Hotel Concept Design

Preview of a concept hotel design I have been working on! The client was looking for something resort style, coastal and comfortable without being your cliche tropical theme. Natural materials, neutral color palette, and the use of texture and subtile highlights,  create calming spaces that allow the natural views to be the focal element in each area. My thoughts? This resort is sure to be a relaxing destination spot!
